Delicious blocked for DET proxy address?

I can't post to Delicious from inside det.wa.gov.au today. The error message says "you've been temporarily blocked for accessing Delicious too rapidly". All WA school activity would show up as the proxy IP address, so I'm wondering if that's the cause, although it hasn't been a problem in the past.

I reported it to Yahoo (the owners) so we'll see what happens. I'm not even able to view my del.icio.us links - this sucks because I use it extensively to make quick collections of links for my students on a topic. Luckily I also have a Diggo account so I guess I can use that. I prefer Delicious since the students are not exposed to advertising on the links page.

Hi Ian
I work in DET Central Office. I can assure you that the del.icio.us site is not on a DETWA blacklist. This del.icio.us support forum discussion indicates that it is an issue that they are encountering http://support.delicious.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=1277&page=1

Thanks Jean,

I wasn't meaning to imply it was blocked by DET, sorry if that was the impression. I thought it might be that delicious wasn't smart enough to take into account that the proxy address would have a high access rate.

In any case, I haven't had any problems today.

DET now blocks sites that I have been using with my students for ages: podomatic & voicethread & I'm suppose to be mentoring other teachers on how to use web 2.0 tools in education. We are talking TAFE here, not primary schools.
